A seven-dash slate of qualifiers went postward this morning at Mohawk Racetrack. A pair of Pepsi North America Cup eligibles made appearances on the track, while Pink Kangaroo and another top open pacer hopped back out onto the Campbellville course

.

The NA Cup eligibles hit the track for Race 3. Up Front Eli, a Dragon Again brother to millionaire Jeremes Jet, put in his first charted mile of the year from Post 6. The other Cup eligible in the dash was Stinger Blue Chip, a $130,000 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale purchase.

Neither of the Cup eligibles found much luck this morning, as Topaz Seelster went on to post an open-length victory in 1:55.4. After coming from off the pace on the final turn, Stinger Blue Chip, an Art Major gelding trained by Casie Coleman and driven by Mark Macdonald, finished third, pacing his mile in 1:56.3. Up Front Eli, a $100,000 Harrisburg Yearling Sale purchase, sat mid-pack throughout the mile and finished fifth, pacing his mile in 1:57.2.

After having been away from the charts since pari-mutuel action last November 28 at Woodbine Racetrack, five-year-old Cams Card Shark mare Pink Kangaroo put in some work in Mohawk's first qualifying race of the morning. The career winner of over $270,000 finished fourth, pacing her mile in 1:56.1

Pink Kangaroo was bested by another solid pacer which was returning to the track. Five-year-old Apaches Fame gelding Windsun Ben returned for trainer Bob Young and threw down some impressive speed. The winner of over $243,000 led at every call and stepped to a 14-length victory. The mile was clocked in 1:53.2 and was capped off with a :26.4 final quarter mile.
