A three-horse photo finish declared Legal Jeopardy the winner in Buffalo Raceway’s featured $18,571 filly and mare pace on Wednesday, March 26.

Firing off from Post 7, Do Me Better (Joseph Chindano Jr.) surged to the front and set fractions of :28, :57.1, and 1:27.1 over a ‘good’ track. But as the field turned for home, she found herself under siege. Legal Jeopardy and driver David McNeight III closed up the inside, while Get Answers (Drew Monti) mounted a late charge on the outside. The trio battled to the wire, where a photo determined that Legal Jeopardy had edged out her rivals for the victory. Get Answers finished second, while a game Do Me Better settled for a tough-luck third.

Legal Jeopardy is trained by Maria Rice, who co-owns with Jack Rice. The five-year-old daughter of Stay Hungry-Legal Wish now has two wins in six starts in 2025. The victory boosted her seasonal bankroll to $30,673, with career earnings climbing to $118,440. She returned $9.80 for the win.

In the $15,000 Filly and Mare Pace on the undercard, Bolt Of Beauty made it back-to-back victories, defeating McVera by a length in 1:57.2.

Rightfully Mine (Kyle Swift) dictated early fractions of :28.4 and :58.3, but began to fade as Bolt Of Beauty and driver David McNeight III made a determined first-over bid down the backstretch. With a quarter of a mile to go, Bolt Of Beauty seized control and powered through the lane, cruising to the finish unchallenged. McVera (Shawn McDonough) made a mild late rally but was no serious threat, finishing three-quarters of a length behind. Atlantic Star (Joseph Chindano Jr.) rounded out the trifecta.

Owned by Going On Drive LLC and trained by David Russo, the eight-year-old Bolt The Duer-Natural Luck mare now boasts two wins in eight starts this season. The victory pushed her seasonal earnings to $22,441, with career earnings now totaling $424,172. Bolt Of Beauty paid $4.50 to win.

Drew Monti and Kevin Cummings led all drivers with three wins each, while David McNeight III, Kyle Cummings, and Shawn McDonough recorded driving doubles. On the training side, Shawn McDonough and David Russo each notched two victories.

Live racing resumes Saturday, March 29, with a 13-race card set to begin at 2:30 p.m.
