Free Willy Hanover made a round trip to victory lane at Woodbine Mohawk Park thanks to his second straight score in the $34,000 Preferred Trot, and in doing so he pushed his lifetime earnings over $400,000.

Jonathan Drury treated Free Willy Hanover to another ground-saving journey while Musical Rhythm laid down the fractions for the second straight week. He cut first-half fractions of :28.3 and :58.3 before race favourite Dunbar Hall applied first-over pressure and prompted him to the three-quarter pole in 1:26.4.

Musical Rhythm disposed of Dunbar Hall in the lane, but Drury swung to the outside with Free Willy Hanover and the gelding stormed home in :27.2 to win by three—quarters of a length over Musical Rhythm in 1:54.4. B Yoyo came on strong in the lane to nab third prize.

Carmen Auciello trains the six-year-old son of Credit Winner for his Auciello Stables and partners Armando Cappuccitti, Mike Bartram and Robert Watson. The win improved his 2019 record to 3-1-4 from 10 starts, and it pushed his lifetime win total to 19.
