Cullen Notches Training Triple At Flamboro

It was a successful night for the Cullen team on Sunday, March 23 at Flamboro Downs as Jodie Cullen scored a training hat trick with driver Travis Cullen delivering each of those winners down victory lane.

In Race 3, Ariels Bet ($2.20) delivered a wire-to-wire victory, crossing the wire first in 1:59.2, winning by a neck. Ariels Bet is a three-year-old daughter of All Bets Off out of Millbanks Ariel. She is owned by trainer Jodie Cullen and now boasts five lifetime wins, pushing her bankroll to $35,475.

The second victory came in Race 5 with Grand Circuit ($2.60), who also capitalized on a wire-to-wire strategy, crossing the finish line first in 1:57, winning by 2-3/4 lengths. This Always A Virgin-Ginger Tree Alexis mare is owned by A1 Stable of Dundas, Ont. The four-year-old now has eight lifetime wins and career earnings of $104,611.

The final win came in the closer, with Tells Bells ($2.20), who fought for the lead off the gate and led the field all the way, crossing the wire in 1:58.1 by a full length. Tells Bells is a four-year-old mare by Telitlikeitis out of Endora Hanover, who was claimed tonight by Tom Dickieson of Holland Centre, Ont. With this victory, she now has 13 lifetime wins and career earnings of $73,215.

Jodie Cullen has earned $733,554 so far this season and is currently at the top of the trainer leaderboard at Flamboro Downs, having secured 26 wins and $148,865 in earnings to date.
