Avid horse owner and amateur driving enthusiast John Campagnuolo of Loxahatchee, Florida had a dream night he won't soon forget on Saturday evening, March 24 at The Isle Casino Racing Pompano Park

.

The 49-year-old trucking company operator was in the bike to win both of trotting events in the weekly Florida Amateur Driving Club (FADC) series. He teamed Blake Island to a perfect pocket trip win in addition to an excellent ground saving trip into the stretch setting up a wide move to score with Roman Holiday. Campagnuolo owns both of the veteran gelding trotters, and both are trained by Tom Bigler.

Campagnuolo is also a co-owner of the Saturday evening feature event winner, Talk To Tony, who followed up last week's upset of millionaire Aracache Hanover with another victory. In this Winners Over event for an $8,000 purse, driver Wally Hennessey gave Talk To Tony a perfect pocket trip behind Appley Ever After, in rein to Joe Pavia Jr. Talk To Tony, an Artiscape-Muggins Hanover five-year-old ridgling, was brought out in the stretch to score handily over the pacesetter in 1:52.3. Best Around was the lone mare in the field and Dan Clements guided her in for third. Campagnuolo shares ownership of Talk To Tony with Jay Sears of Osteen, Florida and Kim Sears does the training.

His ownership share holdings in recent years also included the pacing filly Idyllic, a winner of almost $1.3 million.
