Gostreet made it three wins in a row and took a new lifetime mark on Tuesday night in Kawartha Downs’ $16,500 Preferred Trot in rein to trainer Lyle MacArthur.

Gostreet got off to a good start but settled in sixth as Gatepost (John Thomson) reached the front at the first quarter in :28.2. From there veteran Abbey Road C (Keith Jones) made an appearance on the front end before Mystical Ryan (Gord Brown) brushed up from fourth to claim the top spot.

Meanwhile, Gostreet moved into the flow and was sitting second-over at the half in :57.4. The 4-1 second choice made the winning decision to travel three wide en route to the third quarter station in 1:27.2 and charged down the lane to win in 1:57.4.

Longshot Tritri (Ted McDonald) closed well to finish just over a length back in second while Sensual Hall (Doug Brown) got up for the show spot.

The five-year-old Angus Hall - Rose Street Jewel mare earned her fifth win in seven starts this year. Gostreet, a winner of 13 races and $123,189 in career earnings, is owned by Linda Wellwood of St. George and Tammy Aspden of Caistor Centre, Ont.

Trainer Mark Winacott also enjoyed a "three-peat" scoring with Bookie (1:57.1) in Race 3, who extended her own win streak to six, while Stepaside Larry (1:56, Race 7) and Lasensa (1:55.4, Race 9) each won for the third consecutive time. Gord Brown drove all three winners and picked up one more aboard the Laura Winacott trainee, Cocktail Shaker (1:59.2, Race 8), who extended her win streak to four.
