On Tuesday, March 21, a pair of full brothers recorded wins on the same program of racing.
On Tuesday at Yonkers Raceway, a first-up Boogiewoogiebrian (Jordan Stratton, $10) prevailed by a head in a photo finish in the track’s $14,500, third-race pace (1:55). The seven-year-old Rocknroll Hanover gelding is owned by Eric Prevost and trained by Rob Harmon.
Not to be outdone, big brother (by one year) Yo Cheyenne Rocky (Jordan Stratton, $12) won Yonkers’ $14,500 eighth race, also first-up (1:55.4), also by a head. It was also ‘Rocky’s’ first win of the season for the Robbie Siegelman- trained, Barry Rubinstein Farms-owned homebred.

Cheyenne Adrienne couldn’t quite complete the always-tricky maternal hat trick however, as half-brother (and 4-5 favourite) Cheyenne Jeffrey (Jason Bartlett) faded to third in the track’s $16,500, Race 11 finale. ‘Jeffrey’ is a nine-year-old Bettors Delight gelding for Siegelman/Rubenstein.
