The Red Mile is proud to announce that Tom Agosti will be race secretary for the 2016 early meet, which will run from July 24 to September 17.
Agosti is taking over for Billy Perkins, who is semi-retiring but will remain as the race secretary for the 2016 Grand Circuit meet (September 29 to October 9).
Agosti began his race secretary career in 2011 as the assistant race secretary at Buffalo Raceway. He took over as the race secretary for Buffalo Raceway in 2014 and remains in that position in 2016.
Agosti has also been the program director and charter for the Red Mile since 2012 and will continue in that position for the Grand Circuit meet.
“I’m very excited to be the new race secretary for the Red Mile early meet. It’s an honour to be a part of a place with a great history and exciting future, and I look forward to the race meet ahead,” said Agosti.
Racing consultant Connie Hochstetler extended her excitement over the addition of Tom Agosti to the race office.
“We are pleased to have Tom Agosti joining the race office at the Red Mile. He has been a terrific program director and charter and will be a great asset for us in his new position,” said Hochstetler.
