Two of Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment’s most popular events back on the calendar for 2022. The sixth annual Beer Festival is set for Saturday, May 21 and the fourth annual Summer Wine Festival is slated for Saturday, June 25.
For the Saturday, May 21 craft beer fest, doors open for VIP at 4:30 p.m. with General Admission at 5:30 p.m. and beer is poured until 9:30 p.m. The VIP ticket is $65 and includes an additional one hour of sampling, exclusive VIP Tent beer samplings and food. General Admission begins at 5:30 p.m. and is available in advance for $45 or at the door for $50.
More than 60 breweries and cideries are participating including a number of local New Jersey craft brewers. New Jersey favourites Lone Eagle Brewing, 902 Brewing Company, Seven Tribesmen, Alementary, NJ Beer Co., Angry Erik, Ghost Hawk, Montclair Brewery, Untied and Bolero Snort will be poured at the festival. New breweries are confirmed every week and the final list of breweries and the full beer lineup will be posted at PlayMeadowlands.com the week of May 16.
Wine fest-goers on Saturday, June 25 will experience an evening of great wines from around the world, live harness racing, music and food. More than 30 wineries are participating including ones from Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Argentina, New Jersey, California, South Africa and Oregon. Festival-goers will be sampling Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Champagne, Riesling, Pinot Grigio, Prosecco, Rosè, Sangrias, Merlots, Cabernet and much more.
