Dan Noble, the 2011 dash leader, will drive at the Meadowlands for the next few weekends
.
The Ohio-based Noble won driving titles at Northfield Park, Scioto Downs, Lebanon Raceway and The Red Mile en route to 773 victories last year. The 28-year-old reinsman, who bested George Brennan by 19 wins, was voted USHWA’s 2011 Rising Star of the Year for his achievement. Noble is the son of veteran Buckeye State-based trainer Sam “Chip” Noble III.
“We are glad to have last year’s leading driver here,” said New Meadowlands Racetrack LLC Chairman Jeff Gural. “Seeing as we expect many of our top drivers to drive at Yonkers in the Levy, it will be a good opportunity for him to acquaint himself with mile racing. Hopefully it will work out, as we need some new faces to tackle the old guard and make it interesting for our customers. We welcome other drivers as well during the next few weeks while the Levy series and the Matchmaker take place at Yonkers.”
