Hall of Famer Ron Pierce enjoyed a productive day at Dover Downs, winning five times on the 15-race program

Pierce, who is on the verge of surpassing $150 million in lifetime earnings, took the opener with Nascart Sam (1:53.1) before posting back-to-backs wins in the fourth and fifth races with Art Star (1:53.2) and Whos Next (1:52).
Incredible Art (1:50.4) rolled to an impressive victory in the eighth race to give Pierce the Grand Slam, and Caerleon Hanover (1:52.2) gave Pierce a round trip to victory lane thanks to his narrow score in Race 9.
The five-win performance pushed Pierce’s lifetime win total to 6,865.
