Beth Dutton angled off the cones through the final turn and brushed home to capture Wednesday’s (March 15) $11,000 second leg of the Donna Dunn Memorial at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows. The championship leg of the series for three- and four-year old pacing fillies and mares is set for Wednesday, March 22.
Beth Dutton got away third and saved ground until Dave Palone showed her racetrack just before the field turned for home. The four-year-old daughter of Racing Hill-Ali Rush powered past early leader True Seelster and first-over challenger Kiss Of A Rockstar to victory in a career-best 1:54.3. True Seelster was 1-1/2 lengths back in second while Kiss Of A Rockstar saved show.
Johnny Yoder trains Beth Dutton for Kahrig Racing Stable Co.
Ronnie Wrenn Jr. and Palone each piloted three winners on the 13-race card while Todd Schadel fashioned a training-driving double.
Live racing at The Meadows continues Thursday (March 16). First post is 12:45 p.m. (EDT).
