Dont Know Chip repeated his win from last week taking the $27,500 Open Handicap Trot at Dover Downs on a summer-like Wednesday, March 14

.

Again, Tagyoureit Hanover was race favourite and enjoyed a perfect two-hole trip behind pacesetting Mandabra. Completing the final turn, the entire field was converging on the leader with Dont Know Chip, driven by Vince Copeland, coming the fastest of all to get up in 1:54.4. Allmar Surprise made an uncustomary break just before the start, but driver Vic Kirby quickly got her back trotting at the rear of the six-horse field. She then moved up racing on the backstretch and streaked home to finish second. Tagyoureit Hanover had to wait until reaching the passing lane and could do no better than finish third along the inside for Matt Kakaley.

Dont Know Chip scored his second win of the year in four starts for Kathy Ratcliff and Jerry Zosel. The Chip Chip Hooray-Ceremonial gelding has now won $33,600 this season and $348,671 lifetime.

Photo Maxx used the passing lane to hustle home first in the $19,500 sub-feature Winners Over Trot. Vic Kirby drove the Lauren Allen-owned and trained altered son of SJs Photo-Affinity to his second consecutive victory scoring a 1:54.4 decision. Idol Kemp (George Dennis) finished second with Sea Raven (Tony Morgan) the show finisher. The former stakes-seasoned Photo Maxx, a career winner of more than half a million dollars, lifted his seasonal earnings to $37,160.

Allan Davis drove Yanks to victory in 1:56.3 in another sub-feature $12,000 trot for Charles Cochran III. The Rosemary Smutz-conditioned Muscles Yankee-Wind Glider gelding notched his second win of the campaign. Willie Count (Frank Milby) was runner-up and Uwantapieceofme (George Dennis) was third.
