The Bill Galvin Racing Alliance (BGRA) will once again be promoting Ontario’s harness racing industry throughout the province in 2025.
The BGRA is looking for educators to help promote its popular Youth Literary Derby and Youth Art Derby. These contests for students in Grades 3 to 8 (also Grades 9-12 for the Art Derby) are designed to encourage writing, literacy and artistic skills through interacting with Standardbred horses. The BGRA invites educators to help promote its contests to their students. If you're an educator or know someone who may be willing to help, email [email protected] to receive the BGRA's electronic promotional package.
The BGRA Directors are proud of the accomplishments from last year, which included the youth contests and an awards night, Open House at Tom Rankin’s breeding farm and the Drive To Win Virtual Reality harness driving experience’s expanded tour throughout Ontario.
With the ongoing strong support from the racing industry, the BGRA has stated it is positioned to expand its outreach even further in 2025.
Interested volunteers should complete and submit the volunteer application at the bottom of the BGRA website at bgracingalliance.ca.
