The eight-year-old Yankee Glide gelding Treasured Tee took the point early and scored a 1:56.3 victory in the $11,500 featured trot at Flamboro Downs on Sunday night (March 12).
Driver Austin Sorrie sent the odds-on favourite to the top and faced little pressure from a :28.3 first quarter and through middle fractions of :58.1 and 1:27. He then spun the field for home and strolled to a 1-3/4-length win over pocket-sitter Thirdtimesthedream with Run Like Hill taking third.
Fran Guillemette trains and co-owns Treasured Tee with Eric Beausejour and Stephane Geoffroy. The gelding won his 20th race from 114 starts and has now earned $326,931. He paid $3.10 to win.
