Bestulldotanite cruised wire-to-wire to close out Flamboro Downs' Saturday night (March 12) card of harness racing, winning the featured $7,500 Preferred 3 for female pacers in rein to Robert Shepherd.
Bestulldotanite, the 2-5 favourite, was strong on the lead through fractions of :28.1, :57.3 and 1:26.2 en route to the 1:56 victory. Abs To Envy (Scott Young) advanced first over and tucked into a gaping two-hole around the final turn before Topanga Canyon (Bob McClure) rallied off her cover down the stretch to secure the runner-up honours.
The Jjs Stables' homebred mare, who has hit the board in all three of her 2016 starts, has 24 wins lifetime and over $130,000 in purse earnings. Robert Ellis trains the seven-year-old daughter of Geartogear and Naomi Seelster.
