The undefeated Jemmas Jet soared to an open length victory in the $35,000 Princess Final for three and four-year-old fillies and mares on Saturday afternoon at Fraser Downs
.
Leaving from the inside post position with Jim Marino at the controls, Jemmas Jet took command of the eight-horse field right from the word “go.” She carved out fractions of :29, :58 and 1:26.3 en route to a six and three-quarter length victory in 1:56.2 over a ‘good’ track rated two seconds off. Red Star Hannah (Tim Brown) won the race for second over pocket-sitter Alotta Crackers (Dave Hudon).
Sent postward as the 1-2 favourite, Jemmas Jets returned $2.90 for the win. The four-year-old Emery Flight-Twice Royal mare is a perfect five-for-five so far in her debut season with $28,700 earned for trainer and owner Randy Webster of Langley B.C.
