Outlaw C My Shadow crushed the competition on Friday night at Fraser Downs, scoring his seventh straight Open victory.
Driven by Brandon Campbell, Outlaw C My Shadow quickly crossed to command from the outermost post in the $10,000 Open Handicap Pace and was untouchable on top as he rolled through fractions of :27.3, :56.4, 1:24.3 and left his four foes 5-1/2 lengths in arrears, winning in 1:52.3. The race for place concluded in a three-way photo finish with the Travis Tracey trainee Pureform Mr Toffee (David Hudon) edging out stablemate Outlaw Duke Worthy (John Vukelich) and Kevin Anderson's Waitin Ona River.
For the second night in a row, trainer Jim Marino sent out a trio of winners, including undefeated three-year-olds Promising Shadow ($2.50) and Usual Suspect ($2.80) as well as Domi ($3.30), all driven by Campbell.
