Kyle Bossence trainee Willyorwonthe wired his competition to post a 1:57.4 victory in taking the $13,000 Preferred 2 & 3 Handicap Trot at The Raceway at Western Fair District on Friday (March 11).
The nine-year-old Angus Hall gelding secured the top from post 2 to a :28.2 first quarter with Scene A Magician settling into the pocket. Uncontested to the half in :59.1, Willyorwonthe endured minor first-over pressure from Esquire to three-quarters in 1:28.2 before brushing that foe away and kicking clear for home, striding to a 2-1/4-length win over Scene A Magician. O Narutac Perfetto finished third and Katch Kanna took fourth.
Owned by Phil Maguire, Willyorwonthe won his 47th race from 189 starts, with earnings of $420,141 with the victory. Colin Kelly drove the $4.80 winner.
