On Wednesday (March 10), Doug Lieb, the lawyer representing Rene Allard, issued a letter to Jeff Gural, the owner of the Meadowlands, Tioga Downs and Vernon Downs, regarding a March 6 announcement about exclusions involving Allard.
In the letter, Lieb stated the following:
"We hereby demand that you formally retract the March 6 Statement. We further demand that you state in writing that will not seek to require owners to stop doing business with Mr. Allard as a condition of entering horses into races at tracks you control."
