'Tiki' Rocks The Buffalo Toteboard

Before Buffalo Raceway's Thursday, March 10 card of racing, the longest odds that Allamerican Tiki had ever gone postward with were 176-1. That was nothing in comparison to what the son of Grinfromeartoear raced with last night, and the gelding did not disappoint those which chose to back him

.

After having started from the Post 3 as a huge 244-1 longshot, driver David McNeight III settled 'Tiki' in fourth before tipping out wide at the half-mile marker.

Although having to race first-over on the 'sloppy' track, the adversarial factors did not stop Allamerican Tiki form using a great stretch kick to hold off a late-closing Four Starz Pop Pop by a nose in a photo finish.

After the prices were posted fans had to take a second look, as the supporters of Allamerican Tiki received $490.50 for their $2 bet, a Buffalo Raceway record for a 'Win' payoff.

The 3-7 exacta paid $782.00, while the $2 superfecta returned $1,500.30.
