Affective Action Romps At Saratoga

Affective Action was an impressive first-over winner in Thursday afternoon’s feature at Saratoga Casino and Raceway.

The John Grasso-trained four-year-old got away sixth in the $9,950 eight-horse trot for New York sired high steppers. The journey proved irrelevant as Stephane Bouchard tugged on the right line heading to the half and Affective Action cruised from there. After overcoming an early nine-length deficit, Affective Action wound up scoring a five-length victory in 2:00 after trotting a final half in :58.2 over a track labeled ‘good’. The son of Conway Hall-Cathys Action defeated Its A Lucky Deal and Sammy De Vie.

The win was one of two on the afternoon for Bouchard. Last year’s leading driver Bruce Aldrich, Jr. had a big day piloting four winners on the eleven-race card.
