Forward Takes The Lead

Brad Forward earned star of the card honours Wednesday night at Windsor Raceway and jumped to first place in the track’s drivers standings thanks to a five-win

performance.

Forward picked up his first win in the second race aboard Just Now (1:59) for trainer Greg Drew and the went back-to-back with the Shawn Dearing-trained Rembrandt Van Ryn (1:56.4). Forward scored another double in the middle of the card with Red Neck Style (1:59) for Chris Haskell and Western Best (1:58.3) for Gord McDonnell before capturing the ninth and final race with Baby Bug Cary (1:57.4), also for McDonnell.

Forward’s five-bagger gives him a one-win advantage over Eric Carlson in the track’s standings. With 79 victories under his belt so far this season, the 2009 O'Brien Award nominee for Driver of the Year currently ranks third for wins in Canada.
