It was worth it to get a face full of mud and grime on Tuesday for driver Brad Forward, who enjoyed a five-win
performance at a rain-soaked Western Fair Raceway.
Forward, who ranks second amongst Canada’s 2009 dash winners, kicked off the card with a win behind Go Smarty Brand (2:00.4). He was back to get his picture taken following a victory behind Wildmotion (2:03) in Race 3.
He grabbed three consecutive wins starting with Headpoles R Us (2:01.4) in Race 8. Nobananas (2:03.4) earned him the Grand Slam thanks to his ninth race triumph and Pride (2:05.3) produced a winning effort in Race 10 to complete Forward’s five-win performance.
Forward, a career winner of 3,212 races and more than $19 million in purse earnings, has notched 89 wins in 2009.
