The Town of Milton has announced a rural transit pilot program that will include rural service to Campbellville, including a stop at Mohawk Racetrack.
According to an article in the Milton Canadian Champion, the pilot program will run from April 3 until Labour Day weekend. The pilot will cost $150,000, which will be funded by the town’s slots reserve fund. The council will review a performance report on the pilot in July to determine if it will be extended.
Milton Transit ridership reached an all-time high in 2016 with over 500,000 boardings and the pilot is one of the expanded services it will be providing this year.
