Outside post eight was no problem for Earls Speeder, who chalked up his second straight Wednesday feature trot at Dover Downs on March 1.
After a win from the rail last week in the $15,000 Winners Over class, Yannick Gingras drove Earls Speeder from the outside this week with the same result, a victory, in 1:55.1 over a sloppy track. The Earl Of Stormont-Trapezius gelding made it two wins in his last three starts for trainer Dylan Davis and owner Mike Casalino to give him three wins, two seconds and a third in eight starts this year. Streamsong (Jonathan Roberts) was second-best, edging Marleys Guy (Tim Tetrick) third.
The 2012 Hambletonian winner, Market Share, made the winner’s circle for the first time in 2017 with regular driver Tim Tetrick piloting a 1:54.1 victory in the sub-feature trot. The victory is the 29th in his career lifting his bankroll to $3,757,0502 for trainer Linda Toscano and owners Richard Gutnick, TLP Stable and Bill Augustine. Buddy Hally (Montrell Teague) hustled home second in front of Deacons Valley (Gingras).
Tim Tetrick had three wins while Montrell Teague, Yannick Gingras, Tony Morgan, trainer Dylan Davis and owner Mike Casalino had doubles.
