Horseman Dave Bolenbaugh, who has bred Standardbreds for three decades, was inducted into the Michigan Harness Racing Hall of Fame on January, 24.
“It’s a lifetime achievement award,” the 66-year-old Bolenbaugh has been quoted as saying in an article by the Midland Daily News. “I’ve been fortunate, in my 30 years of breeding horses and distributing stallions to the public, to have made an impact on our breeding industry and the racing program.”
In the article, Bolenbaugh went on to say, “Our horses have sold our reputation as breeders with their performances on the track, which means a lot of publicity, and further credit to your farm and what you do. I can look back at my career, and know that I was successful.”
