It was a common theme in 2012 and it reoccurred on Thursday night at the Meadowlands. Gingras and Burke dominated. When all was said and done Yannick Gingras scored six wins on the night, four of the six teaming up with trainer Ronnie Burke.
The night began with the tandem teaming up for a Winter Survivor score with Oil Magnet, followed by the most impressive performance of the night, a 1:53 romp by Sequin Hanover in the first division of the Charles Singer, defeating the Super Bowl Champion Windsun Galliano in the process. Gingras then powered away to another Charlie Singer score with the red hot Real Babe. By this point, is night was only half-over.
Gingras and Burke teamed up again in the Survivor Series with Boiler Bob The QB, followed by another tag team win in the Singer with Good Sound Advice. That win marked a first round sweep of the Singer for Burke and Gingras and their fourth together on the night. Gingras was not done, as he added another win the Survivor Series with Stagecoach Holdup. One thing is for certain, Yannick Gingras will have some tough decisions to make come the night of these series finals on Saturday February 23rd.
At the betting windows, it was another record night for the Meadowlands. The total handle of $2,200,145 was the highest of any Thursday card since April of 2010 and marked a twelve-percent increase from the same Thursday in 2012.
