Former Claimer Wins Meadows Top Class

Paulette Revere, a recently converted claimer, made her debut in the elite rank a successful one Friday at The Meadows when she cruised to a front-end victory in the $18,000 Filly & Mare Winners Over $10,000 Life/Preferred Handicap Trot.

Trainer Mike Palone claimed Paulette Revere for Brian Gillespie on Jan. 14, and she promptly won a Winners Over event. Up one notch Friday to the top distaff trot, she shot to the lead for Mike Wilder and romped home in 1:56.1. The first-over Action Broadway was second, four lengths back, with RT Sun Poco third.

A five-year-old daughter of Victory Sam-Hopeful Joy, Paulette Revere now boasts career earnings of $136,925.

Wilder drove six winners on the 14-race card while Aaron Merriman and Dave Palone each enjoyed a triple.
