Winning races in bunches helped propel Jody Jamieson to his record-setting Canadian harness racing win total in 2009, and on Sunday night at Flamboro Downs the O'Brien Award winner continued his torrid
winning pace.
Jamieson, who returned to active duty last week, racked up 21 wins over the last week of driving and five of those wins came on Sunday at Flamboro. All told on the day, Jamieson won seven races between Flamboro and Woodbine.
Held off the score sheet at Flamboro until the fourth race of the card, Jamieson clicked with Wally Dragon (Dragon Again-Keystone Wallis) for owner Brenda Lane, Princess Mae (Sir Luck - Cheyenna Mae) for owner-trainer Paul Myers, Susan Hutton's Bertorico (Lindy Lane - Berto Baby), Merv Chupp's Oaklea Orlando (Striking Sahbra - Oaklea Fawn) and Manny Bond's Hes A Lion (Mach Three - Armbro Lioness).
With nearly 5,100 wins in his career, Jamieson's career purse winnings top $66 million.
