Crusader Dream has mastered the art of getting his picture taken in recent weeks, and Sunday afternoon at Woodbine Racetrack he extended his win streak
to six-in-a-row.
Owned by Jim Ruhl of Tara, ON and trained by Paul Ruhl, the six-year-old son of Lindy Lane powered off cover for driver Mike Saftic and tripped the teletimer in 1:57.4.
It was Crusader Dream’s third win in as many starts for the new connections, who scooped up the gelding from an $8,000 claiming class on January 15, 2009 at Flamboro Downs, and it was his fifth victory of the season.
The gelding, who is now a 17-time winner in his career, has more than $109,000 in lifetime earnings. Based on his recent success, it comes as no surprise to learn he was claimed from this afternoon’s assignment by Colleen Sullivan of Milton, ON.
