It has been reported that a hearing was scheduled to take place today in Albany, New York to discus the future of horse racing in the state. One of the items on the docket was a discussion about the possibility of a new entity to
operate all wagering in the state.
According to an article by News 10, Senator John Bonacic, the committee chair, has called many people to testify, including NYRA President and CEO Charlie Hayward and Catskill OTB rep. Donald Groth.
The hearing agenda also includes devising a plan for the state's off track betting parlours.
