Ron Pierce hustled Mustang Art to the top from Post 4 and together they sliced out splits of :26.3, :55 and 1:23.1 before using a :28.2 closing panel to seal the deal by a length over Papa Ray in 1:51.3. Dont Ya Know rallied from last to grab third.

He came right back in Race 2 with Full Of Sand (1:53.2) before completing the natural hat trick with Artistic Director (1:53.4) in Race 3. He resurfaced in Race 11 thanks to a win with Handsome Henry K (1:52.2) and came right back to take Race 12 with Four Staces (1:53.1).
Callahan’s win total climbed to 80 for the season while his lifetime total soared to 4,071. The career winner in excess of $54 million has banked more than $700,000 this year.
