Seven-year-old Badlands Hanover mare Phoos Girl grabbed the front from the second tier and took her competitors around the track before capturing the $8,500 Fillies and Mares Preferred 3 Pace at The Raceway at Western Fair District on Tuesday (Feb. 4).

Driver Marc St Louis Jr. circled Phoos Girl by pylon-starter Miss Brandi K to lead the field by the quarter in :29.1. She then separated slightly from Miss Brandi K passing a 1:00 half but led by only one-and-a-half lengths at three-quarters in 1:29.1. Lifelong Dream ranged first over and drew within a length of the lead turning into the stretch but stalled. Phoos Girl maintained command to the finish, winning by a half length over Miss Brandi K with Lifelong Dream third.

Owned by trainer Danielle St Louis, Phoos Girl won her 29th race from 121 starts, earning $175,995. She paid $7.20 to win.
