First Lawless Shadow Foal Arrives

The first foal of O'Brien Award winner Lawless Shadow has arrived.

Born on Jan. 23 at Seelster Farms in Lucan, Ont., the filly is the third foal out of the Sportswriter mare, Dress To The Nines, p,3,1:51.2s ($81,317). The filly's dam is a half-sister to Naughty Lady B, p,1:52s ($303,586), and Hat Trick Honey, p, 1:50.4s ($297,455).

Bred by Seelster Farms, Lawless Shadow (Shadow Play-Ladycino) was a 2020 O’Brien Award winner at age two before going on to win the Meadowlands Pace and the Max Hempt Memorial in a life's best 1:48.2 at Pocono Downs at age three. He retired with $995,579 in earnings and now stands at Winbak Farm of Canada.
