The Sunday evening program at Windsor Raceway belonged to driver Brad Forward, who enjoyed a five-win performance on the 14-race card

An O’Brien Award finalist for Canada’s Driver of the Year in 2009, Forward took the opener in wire-to-wire fashion with the Chris Haskell-trained Me Go Fast in 1:58.1 before capturing the sixth race with the Trent Stohler-trained Viking Kemosabe in 1:55.3.

Veteran pacer Matt Hershey towed Forward to a 1:59 score in the eighth race, and that gave the reinsman his third trip to victory lane. Forward pushed his win total to four thanks to a dominant victory in the tenth race behind Prince Val. The Chris Haskell pupil halted the teletimer in 1:54.2.

Magnum Seelster also turned in a punishing performance en route to a 1:58.3 win for Forward and trainer Doug Currie in the thirteenth race. The son of Intrepid Seelster used off-the-pace tactics to win by more than five lengths.

Forward has already racked up 61 wins this season after enjoying a 516-win campaign in 2009. Last season marked Forward’s fourth consecutive year of banking more than $3 million in purse earnings. The career winner of 3,700 races has driven winners in excess of $22 million to date.
