Erin Movie Night To Screen Somebeachsomewhere Doc

A special evening celebrating the rich equine history of Erin, Ont. at the Erin Agricultural Society's Horse Heritage Movie Night will feature the acclaimed Canadian film documentary, Somebeachsomewhere - Horse of a Lifetime.

Horse Heritage Movie Night will take place on Wednesday, March 26 at 7 p.m. at Erin Centre 2000 in Erin, Ont., with a reception starting at 6 p.m. Admission is $15 per person (includes drink and popcorn). Tickets are available at Sharpe’s Erin Store or by emailing [email protected].

This documentary tells the remarkable story of Somebeachsomewhere, a legendary Standardbred racehorse whose impact on the racing world is unparalleled. From his humble beginnings to his rise as a champion, the film captures the essence of his extraordinary career and the profound bond he shared with his connections. Somebeachsomewhere not only set records but also inspired countless fans and horse enthusiasts around the globe.

Prior to the screening of Somebeachsomewhere - Horse of a Lifetime, two inspiring trailers will be shown for Cowboy Evolution and Beyond the Reins. Both trailers highlight the benefits of connection through the stories of young adults.

In 2018, the Erin Agricultural Society established the Horse Heritage Hall of Fame to honour Erin’s longstanding equine traditions and recognize leaders within the local horse community. Horses have been integral to Erin since the early 1800s, contributing significantly to the local economy, recreation and country lifestyle.

The Ontario Equine Education & Employment Program and Equine Guelph information tables will be on site prior to showtime.
