Back in action after winning the Mares Preferred three weeks ago, So Much More returned to the winner's circle after topping her rivals in another Friday night edition at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

With Jody Jamieson picking up the catch-drive in the $32,000 top distaff pace, So Much More made her move from fourth after watching Better Be Donna N and Swift Ally trade turns on top through a :27.2 opening quarter. She cleared to command after they passed the midway mark in :56.1.

Better Be Donna N was back out during the third panel to apply pressure but So Much More raced on to three-quarters in 1:24 and held off a handful of her rivals to win by less than a length in 1:52.1.

Closing from the back of the six-horse field, Lauras Love (Bob McClure) nabbed the runner-up honours on the far outside while Swift Ally (Doug McNair) shook loose late from the pocket to finish third with Better Be Donna N (Jonathan Drury) and Snow Shark (Travis Cullen) off her cover closing in between.

So Much More was the heavy 1-5 favourite and paid $2.60 to win.

The six-year-old Big Jim mare now sports a record reading 2-3-0 from six starts so far this year with her seasonal earnings topping $60,000 for trainer Don Beatson, who also co-owns with Kenneth Beatson and Cole England. A 43-time winner, So Much More has earned $860,008 in purses through 96 starts.
