Action Broadway moved closer to the $1 million career earnings mark when she captured Friday’s $22,500 Filly & Mare Winners Over $10,000 Life/Preferred Handicap Trot at The Meadows.
The victory lifted her career bankroll to $978,253.
The 2011 U.S. Mare Trotter of the Year, Action Broadway was winless in five starts this year before Friday, when she moved powerfully first over for Tony Hall and sailed off to an in-hand triumph in 1:56. Tiffany was second by a length, with Hawaiianphotograph third.
Virgil Morgan Jr. trains the six-year-old daughter of Broadway Hall-Photo With Molly for Ken Sommer.
Hall enjoyed a triple on the 13-race card while Dave Palone also drove three winners — all for trainer Ron Burke.
