Interstate Compact Bill Passes KY House

It has been reported that on Wednesday, February 23 in Kentucky, House Bill 465 was passed by the House Licensing and Occupations Committee and will now

head to the full House for a vote.

An article by the Courier-Journal explains that House Bill 465 would allow different horse racing jurisdictions to have the same medication rules, among others.

The report explains that the bill would require at least six states to be part of the compact in order for the pact to become a reality.

The article also explains that a Senator Damon Thayer-sponsored bill with similar language had previously been passed by the chamber.
