Tenthousand Angels powered up first over, then poured through the sloppy stretch to spring a 15-1 upset in Wednesday’s (Feb. 22) feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $12,100 fillies & mares conditioned pace.
Tenthousand Angels was third near the three-quarters when Jack Killeen sent her after the leader, Powered By Mach, who hadn’t raced since Nov. 15. The six-year-old daughter of Captaintreacherous-Angel Scent grabbed the lead at the top of the lane and drew off to defeat the rallying Irish Daydream by 1-1/4 lengths in 1:54.3. Powered By Mach saved show.
Nick Kozar trains Tenthousand Angels, who scored her second straight victory and pushed her lifetime earnings to $178,089, for Rockstar Meadows.
Aaron Merriman, Drew Monti, Hunter Myers, Dave Palone and Killeen each scored a double on the 13-race card.
