Millionaire pacer Up The Credit won his 2014 qualifying debut during Saturday's rescheduled session at Woodbine Racetrack.
Up The Credit, a six-year-old son of Western Terror, led the way through fractions of :30.1, 1:00.3 and 1:29.4 and used a :28.1 closing quarter to post a 1:58 mile over the track that had a two second variant. Twin B Impressive followed one and a quarter lengths behind while Santanna Blue Chip finished third.
Jody Jamieson drove the stallion, who took his 1:48.3 lifetime mark last May at Woodbine. Jamieson's father Carl trains and co-owns the former O'Brien Award winner with Thomas Kyron, Brian Paquet and Joanne Morrison.
The fastest time of the session was posted by multiple Maritime stakes champion The Rev, who paced a 1:57.1 mile in his second Ontario qualifier for the Glb Stable. The four-year-old son of Western Paradise is trained by Gregg McNair and was driven by his son Doug.
Other qualifying winners were Warrawee Phoenix (1:59.2) and trotters Take My Picture (2:00.2) and Whitewater Rapids (2:01.2).
