Cadies Gotta Gun had won two of her last four starts, but this was her first contest in elite company. When Brett Miller sent her first up from fourth at the half, she wore down a game Tracys Song and defeated that rival by a neck in 1:54.2 over a sloppy surface. Spring Break finished third in the Lightning Lane.
Spencer Kahrig trains Cadies Gotta Gun, a five-year-old daughter of Gunthatwonthewest-Timeless Cadie who extended her lifetime earnings to $157,161, for Richard Copp.
Dave Palone drove six winners — four for trainer Ron Burke — while Miller fashioned a four-bagger on the 15-race card.
