Pro-expanded gaming interests in the state of New Hampshire are already eagerly anticipating next week's vote on Bill 593 regardless of the fact that, according to a report, an amendment to the bill could see the chances of Rockingham Park landing expanded gaming doubled
.
An article by Doug Ireland in the Eagle Tribune has explained that the bill already calls for two casinos to become a reality for the state, but the apparent amendment would bring the total amount of gaming locations to four, thus bettering the chances of expanded gaming to come to Rockingham Park.
The report states that the bill was originally set to be addressed last month, but the constitutionality of it and an attempt to get more supporters on board have delayed the process.
Governor John Lynch has promised to veto expanded gaming legislation, but pro-expansion legislators are attempting to get enough support the bill to 'overide' Gov. Lynch's veto.
