Running Aces Harness Park is proud to introduce Rod Newhart as the Racing Secretary and Peter Galassi as the Track Announcer for the 2009 live meet.
Newhart returns to Running Aces for his second season in the racing office. He was the Assistant Racing Secretary and Paddock Judge for the 2008 meet.
“I’m excited to build on the success of our inaugural season and look forward to a strong 2009 race meet,” said Newhart.
Race fans may recognize Galassi as the voice of Hawthorne Race Course and will begin his first season as the announcer for Running Aces.
“Running Aces is privileged to have two experienced additions to our team. Both Rod and Peter bring their knowledge and enthusiasm of the industry to race fans here in Minnesota, and throughout the country in our broadcasts,” stated General Manager Robert Farinella.
Running Aces Harness Park will host live racing May 15 through August 9, with 51 race days. Post times will occur at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Tuesday and 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
