Sale Of The Stars Wraps Up

The remaining two sessions of the New Zealand Yearling Sale revealed an encouraging outlook for the industry

overseas.

The second day of the sale saw little change with another filly by top sire Christian Cullen bring in the highest bid of the day. Our Serene Highness was sold for $150,000.

The average price was just over $25,000 with a clearance rate of 83 per cent.

Today, the remainder of the 537 lots were sold with Valour Under Fire, a daughter of Courage Under Fire, earning the top bid of $34,000.

The final sale day concluded with an average of $8,641, a clearance rate of 87.27 per cent and a total series aggregate of over $8 million.
