After putting together a trio of second-place finishes to start the season, trotting mare Norway No Day pushed her win streak to two-in-a-row thanks to her 1:56.2 triumph in Tuesday’s $16,500 Preferred Trot

Fresh off a 1:55.4 win at Woodbine Racetrack, Norway No Day rallied from just off the pace for driver Sylvain Filion to take home top prize in Tuesday’s main event at the Fraserville oval. The Gilbert Hamel trainee used a :29.1 closing quarter to post the victory over Mystic Conquest and Think Gold.

Ecuries R L Belanger Inc. of Laval, QC holds the papers on the seven-year-old Self Possessed miss, who was sent off as the 7-5 choice in the eight-horse affair. She has stashed away more than $322,000 in lifetime earnings.

The time of the mile also established a new track record for aged trotting mares, shaving two-fifths of a second off the 1:56.4 mark of Featured Image taken in May 2008.

The 11-race program also saw the Allard brothers – driver Simon and trainer Rene – put up productive numbers. They joined forces to win with Allamerican Danube (1:54.3), Winbak Trojan (2:00.1) and Logan M (1:57.1).
