The first day of the New Zealand Premier Yearling Sale saw the Christian Cullen – Mainland Reign colt King Cullens Reign earn the highest bid of the day at $100,000.
With 195 yearlings entering the ring, the average sale price was $25,321 with a 76.5 per cent clearance rate.
The Premier sale will continue on February 17 and 18 at the Canterbury Agricultural Park in Wigram, Christchurch.
