After a few bridesmaid finishes in some major stakes events to close out her three-year-old campaign, Lady And Thetrench picked a great time to break through for her first lifetime stakes final victory

In Sunday's $25,000 Miss Valentine Final at Fraser Downs, Tim Brown placed the four-year-old pacing mare in the pocket from post six while Lil Miss Nyalation (Scott Knight) carved out fractions of :26.3, :55.3, and 1:24 while virtually unchallenged on the lead. Brown angled Lady And Thetrench out for the stretch drive and nailed the pacesetter by a half-length in a lifetime best 1:53.3. Designed Dreams (Ed Hensley) finished third, while favoured Sweet Hedge (Serge Masse) broke stride at the start and was never a factor.
Trained and owned by Keith Clark of Alberta along with Pat Elynuik and John Hind of Calgary, Lady And Thetrench (Armbro Trench - Cambests Lady) is now 8-for-24 lifetime and boasts career earnings of over $125,000.
