The formula for victory in Sunday's $14,000 Preferred Handicap Pace at Rideau Carleton Raceway was as simple as catch me if you can for Did It Again and driver Stephane Gendron
.
With last week's winner, Peenie (Denis St Pierre) forced to the outside in the field of six, Gendron hustled Did It Again out to the position of command from post five and hammered out fractions of 27.1, 56.3, 1:25 before clinching victory with a :29 closer to top pocket sitting Best Show In Town in a time of 1:54. Aint No Hearsay (Guy Gagnon) closed strongly for third.
Jamie Copley of Greely, Ont. owns and trains the five-year-old gelded son of Western Hanover - Oath, who has campaigned his pacer to a record of 3-2-1 in six starts and earnings of over $20,000 since a late 2009 claim for $25,000.
Gendron and Copley also managed wins in Race 5 with Skivvies, Race 7 with Tropical Luck and Race 12 with Conch U Catch Me to complete the training four-bagger on the night for Copley, while Gendron also picked up a win with Cyclone Du Haras in Race 10 for the five-bagger.
